Former champion Pakistan has confirmed its participation in 19th Sultan Azlan Shah Cup Hockey Tournament to be played from 8-16 May in Ipoh, Malaysia. According to a spokesman of the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF), the team will feature in the seven-nation tournament in a bid to prepare for the 2010 Asian Games in China.

Pakistan will lock horns with old rivals India, Australia, Korea, Egypt, China and hosts Malaysia in the Sultan Azlan Shah Cup, which is an annual feature on the international hockey calendar.
